I’m wearing my #purple butterfly dress today to raise #lupusawareness , are you? Lupus is a cause that is very dear to my heart. It’s been 5 years since I was diagnosed with SLE Lupus. Systemic Lupus Erythematous (sle) is a chronic autoimmune disease that may affect the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, and other organs. Basically your body is attacking itself. Lupus is an unpredictable & misunderstood autoimmune disease that ravages different parts of the body. There is currently no cure for lupus. I am currently getting #chemo #cytoxan to try to calm my lupus flare. It’s been a crazy journey these past couple of years living with this: having to battle constant fatigue, putting up with pain physically, mentally, and emotionally and adjusting to a new way of living. But through it all it taught me to be strong and how to live with courage even when faced with a life threatening condition and most of all be thankful for each day I am blessed with. The most important thing I’ve learned since being diagnosed with lupus for 5 years now, is that life is sometimes confusing. It takes sadness to know happiness, noise to appreciate silence, and absence to value presence. I’m truly blessed to wake up this morning with another chance to be a better me. I’m counting my blessings not my problems. #lupusawareness #lupie #lupus #sle #lhandsign #chemotherapy #chemogotnothingonme #chronicallyawesome #putonpurple #pop #bydls #baldisbeautiful #lupusawarenessmonth #lupusproblems #spoonie #lupie #roadtorecovery #raisingawarenessisawayoflife @hibbslupustrust @runningforlupus @lupusorg
